Randolph County West Virginia Campgrounds

Gatewood Campground

Monongahela National Forest

Located on a ridge this small campground is located near Spruce Knob Lake at a former fire tower site.

Three group sites are available. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and a lantern post. Two accessible vault toilets are available adjacent to the campground. There is no water on site.

Directions:

From Riverton, WV, take US Route 33 south 2 miles to Briery Gap Road (Country Road 33/4). Turn right onto Briery Gap Road. Go 2 miles to Forest Road 112, turn left and continue for 13.5 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 1 and immediately turn left onto Forest Road 131. The campground is at the end of Forest Road 131.

From Elkins, WV, take US Route 33 to State Route 29, which is one mile west of Harman. Turn right onto SR 29, go south 18.6 miles and turn left onto Forest Road 1. Follow FR 1 to Forest Road 131. The campground is at the end of Forest Road 131.
