Oconee County South Carolina Waterfalls

Riley Moore Falls

Once used to power a mill, the 12' high cascade of Riley Moore Falls is about 100' wide. Spanning the entire width of the Chauga River, Riley Moore Falls has a plunge pool at it's base and is a favorite among locals as a place to play.

To reach Riley Moore Falls from Westminster, travel west along US76 for 7.5 miles and turn right onto Cobb Bridge Road. Continue along Cobb Bridge Road for 1.5 miles and turn left onto the gravel Spy Rock Road (FS 748). Travel 1.7 miles along FS 748 to FS 748C on the right, which at times may be difficult to spot. Park along the side of the road and hike (one mile) to the falls. High clearance vehicles may be able to continue along 748C until reaching the metal jeep barricade.
