Jackson County North Carolina Waterfalls

Soco Falls

Located within Qualla Indian Reservation, Soco Falls is double waterfall which requires only a five minute walk to reach. A viewing platform is available at Soco Falls. The trail to the platform begins at a break in the guard rail. Follow the trail along the guard rail, away from the falls before cutting back down toward the platform.

A steep, unmaintained trail is located to the left of the platform which leads down to the top of the smaller falls before continuing down to the creek below. This trail can be very slippery.

To Soco Falls from Maggie Valley travel along Highway 19 south to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cross under the Parkway and continue along Highway 19 toward Cherokee for 1.5 miles while watching for a small blue sign for Soco Falls.
