Located within
Pisgah National Forest the 80' high Cathey's Creek Falls may be reached
by traveling about 300 yards from the single care pull out.
To reach Cathey's Creek Falls from Brevard
North Carolina, travel west along Highway 64 for 3 miles and
turn right onto Catheys Creek Road. Continue along Catheys Creek
Road and go left when the road splits. After passing the water
treatment plant (about 1 mile) the road turns to the gravel
Forest Service Road 471 as it enters Pisgah National Forest.
Follow FR 471 for about 2 miles to the single care pull over
where the power lines cross the road. The steep and sometimes
slippery trail to Cathey's Creek Falls is located on the right.
Several small cascades are located both above and below the
falls.
