Located within Mount
Rodgers National Recreation Area, the 1.6 mile Barton Gap Trail is
rated Moderate and receives light use.
Directions:
To get to the Hurricane Campground starting point from I-81, take exit
45 to state highway 16 south. Travel approximately 15 miles and turn
right at the Hurricane Campground sign onto Route 650. After two
miles, turn left onto FS 84. The campground is approximately
one-half mile down FS 84. Parking for the trail, if not camping, is
across from the campground in a small pull off of FS 84.
