Gilmer County Georgia Bike Trails-Mountaintown Creek

Mountaintown Creek trail is one of the most remote rides in north Georgia. Travel along the ridge line bordering the Cohutta Wilderness and Mountaintown Creek Gorge with its many cascades. This is a loop trail

Directions:

From milepost 8 on GA 52 west of Ellijay, take County road #65 north for 5.4 miles. Continue onto FS 90 for another 1.7 miles, turn right onto FS 68 and go 2 miles to the trailhead parking area.
