Beech Fork State
Park
Length: 5.0 miles
Our
longest, most strenuous trail is
true to its name. The trail is for
the serious hiker/biker. Trailhead
is located at Moxley Branch 34. Parking available at Moxley bathhouse.
Follow the blaze on this trail – a new spur follows the lake and
requires the hiker to back track.
Directions:
Located
in the south western section of West Virginia, Beech Fork is easily
accessible from Interstate 64:
Using Exit 11: (Hal Greer Blvd. Exit)--Take Rt.
10 south. Continue approximately 4 miles turn right onto
Hughes Branch Road and follow to the end. (another 4 miles). Turn
left and the park is about 2 miles straight ahead. (30 minutes)
Using Exit 8: (5th Street Exit)--Take Route 152
South for approximately 20 miles. Turn left onto Wilson Creek Road
and continue about 8.2 miles until you enter the park. (40 minutes)
