Q: Someone wants to purchase a certificate and have a portrait
made, but they do not have a pet. Will you photograph people without pets?
A: Yes,
but they have to understand that we are setting up to photograph pets; they will
get some pet hair their cloths.
Q: I have 3 dogs, and would like to have a group portrait and
an individual portrait of each. May I purchase four certificates.
A: Yes. You may purchase or sell as many certificates
per household and you would like. You may choose not to sell extra certificates
and the individual will still be allowed to have all combinations taken, the
choice is yours.
Q: If I have my three dogs photographed individually and
together as a group (see previous question) will I be obligated to purchase any
or all of the extra poses?
A: No. There is no obligation to purchase any of the additional
prints.
Q: How many appointments should we schedule?
A: You must sell and schedule at least 20 different
households, for example; Although you are allowed to sell someone more than one certificate if they
have more than one pet, this person will only count as one household regardless
of how many pets they purchase certificates for. Promises do not count toward
the minimal number needed. (Please
note that this number may vary depending on your location, please contact Mimbs
Photography for the number needed in your location.).
Q: What happens if we do not schedule the minimum number of
appointments?
A: Mimbs Photography reserves the right to cancel any fundraiser in which
the minimum number of appointments have not been made in advance.
Q: Do you allow walk-ins? Can someone buy a coupon on the day of
the event and participate?
A:
Yes, in fact we encourage walk-ins; it’s a great way to drive up sales. You
may want to consider charging more at the door than you did for advance sales.
Q: Where would you suggest we hold such a fundraiser and what
are the space requirements?
A: We need a room with at least a 12x12 clear area, bigger is
always better. We have held fundraisers in Churches, office buildings, private
homes and warehouses. Almost any location will work provided we have access to
an electrical outlet. Two of the best locations are at pet stores and Vets’
offices. These two locations work best because both are a ready source of pet
owners. These locations are a great way to increase walk-in on picture day. The
Vet and pet store may benefit from the fundraiser also as they may be exposed to
potentially new clients.
Q: Can your portrait set up easily accommodate large as well as
small dogs? And what about multiple pets? And Cats?
A: Large or small, we photograph them all. Cats are always welcome,
as well as groups. We have also photographed snakes, ferrets, birds. rabbits and
horses (but please let us know if you expect any horses). The room size and our
background size may limit how big of a group we can photograph at once, but this
limit in normally not a problem.
Q: Do you have additional lighting that you bring with you?
A: Yes, we bring an entire studio complete with lights. Our
portraits are no different than you would expect to receive at any studio.
Q: Would you mind us sharing this information with other
rescue/shelter groups in our area?
A: Please do; lets all work together to help raise money for the
pets.
