Four Trails Circuit Trail

Mount Rogers National Recreation Area

Length: 9.6 mile loop  Rating: Moderate

From waterfalls to ridge tops, this circuit offers the hiker a pleasant hike with a moderate challenge. The circuit is comprised of four separate trails, including the well-known Appalachian Trail.

• 0.0 Dickey Gap trailhead across from Hurricane Campground
• 0.4 Turn left onto AT
• 1.0 Turn right onto Comers Creek Falls Trail
• 1.2 Turn right onto Iron Mountain Trail
• 4.1 Turn right onto AT
• 9.2 Turn left onto Dickey Gap Trail to return to trailhead on FS 84

Directions:

From I-81, take exit 45, Route 16 south. Approximately 5 miles south of Sugar Grove, turn right on VA 650 toward Hurricane Campground. After two miles, turn left onto FS 84 and follow approximately 350 yards to Hurricane Campground. Parking is available in a small pull off on FS 84 across from the campground entrance, or in the campground for a small fee.
