Rating: Moderate/Difficult
Rowlands Creek Falls is the main attraction of this circuit, but the
entire trail offers challenge and striking scenery including bubbling
mountain streams. The Falls are the result of water flowing some 50-60
feet down a hard layer of rock.

| Uses: Bicycles, hikers, horses. however Jerry's Creek Trail and
Rowlands Creek Trail are often steep, narrow and rocky. Use caution! There
is no parking for horse trailers. |

- 2.8 845 ends, trail continues to left, steep
- 2.9 Cross creek, begin steep climb
- 4.1 Follow Old 84 to the left
- 8.7 Go left through gate onto Rowlands Creek Trail
- 11.7 Left on FS 643
Directions:
Take VA 16 south from I-81 to Sugar Grove. Turn right onto VA 601
(toward Teas), go 3.5 miles until 601 becomes 670 at Teas. Go 4.4 miles on
670, then veer left onto 656. Go 1.7 miles and turn left onto 668. This
becomes FS 643. The trailhead is the first on your right. Parking is
available at several pull-offs near the trailhead.
