White County Georgia Hiking Trails

Smith Creek Trail

Located within Unicoi State Park & USFS, the 4.8 mile Smith Creek Trail is rated Strenuous and is marked with a Light Blue blaze.

Traveling from the campground at Unicoi State Park to the Anna Ruby Falls Recreation Area, Smith Creek Trail passes through stands of rhododendron and mountain laurel and to the headwaters of Smith Creek and York & Curtis Creek where Anna Ruby Falls is formed.

Directions:

Take GA 75 north from Helen, Georgia for 1 mile. Turn left on GA 356 and drive 1.5 miles. Then go left at the entrance to Unicoi State Park. Follow the signs to the Anna Ruby Falls parking area. Note: There is a parking fee. Hike a 0.4-mile trail to the falls. The trail begins to the right of the first observation bridge.
