Union County Georgia Hiking Trails

Cooper Creek Connector Trail

Located within Cooper Creek Recreation Area, the 0.4 mile Cooper Creek Connector Trail travels through forest of hemlocks, white pines and hardwoods. Serving as a connector trail between Mill Shoals Trail and Yellow Mountain Trail, Cooper Creek Connector Trail may be reached by hiking 0.6 miles from the Mill Shoals Trail, or 1 mile from the Yellow Mountain Trailhead.

From Blue Ridge Georgia Travel north along US 515 for 4 miles to GA 60 and turn right. Follow GA 60 for 2 miles to Morganton Georgia and turn right, following GA 60. Continue along GA60 for 15.5 miles to Forest Service Road 4 and turn left. Follow FR 4 for 6 miles to the campground.

From Blairsville Georgia travel south along US 515 for 2.5 miles to Kiutuestia Road and turn left. Continue along Kiutuestia Road for 1.3 miles and turn left onto Old 76. Follow Old 76 for 100' and turn right onto Mulky Gap Road. Continue along Mulky Gap Road for 9 miles to the campground.
