Park
Length: 100 yards
The
100 yard Lovers Leap Trail starts at the tram office and goes to the overlook of the New River
and marina. Steps most of the
way. Legend has it that
Lovers Leap was the scene of tragedy for an Indian brave and an Indian
princess who had fallen in love. They
were from different tribes and their marriage was opposed by their
families. Rather than be
parted , they plunged from the rock to their deaths in the gorge below.

Highway (Route 60). One hour east of Charleston West Virginia and only 8 miles west of
Route 19.
