must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed
recreation areas.
Cherokee National Forest
The 2.0 mile Rough Creek trail connects the Big Frog trail, Licklog
trail, and the East Fork Ridge trail and is rated Moderate. This trail is entirely in the Big
Frog Wilderness.
Several dispersed camping sites are available along the
trail, which crosses the east and west forks of Rough Creek.

Directions:
From the Ocoee Ranger Station turn left onto Highway 64.
Travel about 10.9 miles to Ocoee Power House Number 3. Cross the bridge,
follow Forest Service Road 45 about 2.9 miles to the intersection of
Forest Service Road 221. Turn right and travel about 0.9 miles to the Big
Frog trailhead on the left. This trail begins from Big Frog Trail and ends
with its intersection at Licklog Trail.
From the Big Frog trail, hike 1.1 miles to the Rough Creek
Trail.
Parking at the Big Frog Trailhead is limited to five
vehicles.
