Napau Trail

 

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Beginning at the Mauna Ulu parking area, the 3.5 mile Napau Trail travels through a variety of terrain from rain forests to recent lava flows. Traveling to Napau Crater, Mapau Trail offers a campground with pit toilets at it's end.

To reach Hawaii Volcanoes National Park:

From Hilo travel 30 miles southwest along Highway 11.

From Kailua-Kona travel 96 miles southeast along Highway 11.

Or 125 miles through Waimea and Hilo via Highway 19 and 11.
