A unique desert ecosystem, San Luis State Park and Wildlife Area sits in the shadow of the Great Sand Dunes National Park. A popular water sports location, San Luis State Park also offers wildlife viewing, hiking & bike trails, cross country ski & snowshoe trails, camping, and picnicking.

To reach San Luis State Park travel 60 miles west along 160 from Walsenburg Colorado to Highway 159. Continue north along Hwy 150 for 13.5 miles and turn left on Six Mile Lane. Continue along Six Mile Lane for 8.0 miles and then drive north 1/8 mile to the San Luis State Park entrance.
