Available for hiking, and horseback riding,
Lake Fork Trail leaves from the Lake Fork Rest Area and begins to
climb through the Lake Fork Canyon before breaking into open meadows.
Two access points are available for Lake Fork Trail

From South Fork Colorado, travel southwest along
US 160 to the Lake Fork Roadside Rest area. The trail begins
northeast of Lake Fork Creek.

Follow US 160 past the Lake Fork Lake area to Big
Meadows Road 10.5 miles southeast of South Fork. Travel past Big
Meadows & Shaw Reservoirs about 10 miles off US 160. This road
intersects Tie Hill Trail #835 from the northern end.
