Long Park Trail #1809

Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 3.5 mile Long Park Trail connects to the Deadhorse-Long Park Loop
4WD road #230 and Lost Park Road #293. From the trailhead Long Park
Trail climbs rapidly for 0.5 mile to the northeast until reaching the
crest of the ridge between the White River and Long Park Creek
drainages. The trail follows Long Park Creek for the next 1.6 miles into
the meadows of Long Park and 4WD road #230. Turn onto #230 and continue
1 mile to Trough Gulch. Here the trail follows a bench, switchbacking
for 1 mile to Lost Park where it crosses Lost Creek and ends at the Hahn
Creek campsite at the end of Lost Park Road #203, one mile further.

To reach Long Park Trail from Meeker Colorado, travel
east along CO 13 for a mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8
for 31 miles. Long-Lost Trailhead is located on the north side of the
road, just before the Lost Creek Guard Station. Parking is available on
the south side of CR 8.
