Weminuche Trail drops in elevation for the first 2 miles to the
junction with Hossick Creek Trail #585 and Shaw Creek Trail #584. Only
after passing these trail junctions do you finally enter the
wilderness.
Weminuche Trail receives heavy use by stock.
To reach Weminuche Trail travel west along US 160 to Piedra Road
(FDR 631) and turn north. Continue about 22 miles along Piedra Road
and turn right onto Williams Lake Road (FDR 640). Continue 3.5 miles
and turn left onto FDR 644. Travel 3 miles to the trailhead at the end
of the road.

Juan Counties.
