Dinosaur National Monument

Located near Vernal Utah and Dinosaur Colorado (Moffat County Colorado), the 210,000 acre Dinosaur National Monument offers a unique look back in time to when dinosaurs ruled. Although the Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center is closed due to unstable soil (and therefore an unstable building), many of the replica fossils have been moved to the Outdoor Visitor Center.

Dinosaur National Monument offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including auto tours, hiking, rafting through Dinosaur's river canyons, and camping.

Directions:

To reach Dinosaur National Monument's Canyon Area Visitor Center from Dinosaur Colorado travel east along Highway 40 for 2.0 miles to Harpers Corner Road. Turn left (north) onto Harpers Corner Road and take the first right into the parking lot.

To reach Dinosaur National Monument's Temporary Visitor Center from Dinosaur Colorado travel west along Highway 40 to Jensen Utah and turn right (north) onto Utah 149 and follow signs.
