Located within Mesa
Verde National Park, the 6.0 mile Cliff Palace Loop Road is closed to
vehicles after the first snowfall and reopens in the spring. Cliff Palace
Loop Road is relatively flat and is available for cross country skiing and
snowshoeing.
Mesa Verde National Park Headquarters is about a 1 hour drive east of
Cortez Colorado along Highway 160, and about a 1.5 hour drive west from
Durango Colorado along Highway 160.
