Located within Mesa Verde National
Park, the 2.4 mile (round trip) Petroglyph Point Trail begins at the
Spruce Tree House Trail and travels below the edge of the plateau to a
petroglyph panel before climbing to the top of the mesa and returning to the
museum. Petroglyph Point Trail offers views of Spruce and Navajo Canyons.
Mesa Verde National Park Headquarters is about a 1 hour drive east of
Cortez Colorado along Highway 160, and about a 1.5 hour drive west from
Durango Colorado along Highway 160.
