Island Park Trail
Located within Dinosaur National Monument, the 8.0 mile (each way) Island Park Trail is rated Moderate to Difficult and begins 30 miles north of the Temporary Visitor Center. Offering no shade (except for the Ely Creek drainage, Island Park Trail offers views of the multi-hued panorama of Rainbow Park. To reach Dinosaur National Monument's Temporary Visitor Center from Dinosaur Colorado travel west along Highway 40 to Jensen Utah and turn right (north) onto Utah 149 and follow signs.
To reach Dinosaur National Monument's Canyon Area Visitor Center from Dinosaur Colorado travel east along Highway 40 for 2.0 miles to Harpers Corner Road. Turn left (north) onto Harpers Corner Road and take the first right into the parking lot.
