Located within Colorado National
Monument, the 7.0 mile Ute Canyon Trail is a maintained trail from the
plateau down into the narrow Ute Canyon. The trail then travels a streambed
with seasonal stream and pools.
To reach Colorado National Monument from while traveling west
take Highway I-70 to Grand Junction to Exit 31. Follow signs through
Grand Junction to the east entrance. While traveling east take
Highway I-70 to Exit 19 (Fruita) and travel south 4.0 miles along
Highway 340 to the west entrance.
