Monument Canyon Trail

Located within Colorado National Monument, the 6.0 mile Monument Canyon Trail travels from the plateau down 600 feet into Monument Canyon and offers views of several major rock sculptures including Independence Monument, Kissing Couple and the Coke Ovens-tower overlook.

To reach Colorado National Monument from while traveling west take Highway I-70 to Grand Junction to Exit 31. Follow signs through Grand Junction to the east entrance.

While traveling east take Highway I-70 to Exit 19 (Fruita) and travel south 4.0 miles along Highway 340 to the west entrance.
