Liberty Cap Trail

Located within Colorado National Monument, the 7.0 mile Liberty Cap Trail travels across Monument Mesa for 5.5 mils to Liberty Cap. The last 1.5 miles drops steeply to Grand Valley.

To reach Colorado National Monument from while traveling west take Highway I-70 to Grand Junction to Exit 31. Follow signs through Grand Junction to the east entrance.

While traveling east take Highway I-70 to Exit 19 (Fruita) and travel south 4.0 miles along Highway 340 to the west entrance.
