Iola Basin, Gunnison County Colorado Cross Country Ski Trails

There are no groomed cross country ski trails or snowshoe trails within Curecanti National Recreation Area, however several areas offer good cross country skiing or snowshoeing for those wishing to enjoy the challenge of breaking trail.

Iola Basin allows the skiing of the frozen, snowy surface of Blue Mesa Reservoir. Iola Basin is located 10 miles west of Gunnison Colorado.
