East Elk Creek Trail

There are no groomed cross country ski trails or snowshoe trails within Curecanti
National Recreation Area, however several areas offer good cross
country skiing or snowshoeing for those wishing to enjoy the challenge of
breaking trail.
East Elk Creek is located 1 mile west of the Elk Creek Visitor Center
on U.S. 50. This road may be skied or snowshoed to the East Elk Campground
or continue on to the Sapinero Wildlife Area for a round trip distance of
4 miles.
