River National Forest
Located along Gore Creek, near the boundary of Eagle's
Nest Wilderness, the 25 site Gore Creek Campground offers picnic tables
with fire grates. Park spurs are 30-40' long. Vault toilets are available,
but no electrical hook-ups or dump stations are available.
To reach Gore Creek Campground from Vail Colorado, take
I-70 east to exit 180-East Vail. Turn right & follow Bighorn Road to
the road closure gate (about 2 miles). The campground is located at the
gate.
