Coal Creek Trail #581
Located within the Pagosa Ranger District of San Juan National Forest, the 8.8 mile Coal Creek Trail travels from East Fork Road (FDR 667) at Sand Creek to Fawn Gulch Road (FDR 666). To reach Coal Creek Trail travel northeast along US 160 for about 9.5 miles and turn right onto FDR 667 (East Fork Road). Continue along FDR 667 for 4 miles to the trailhead on the right before the bridge over Sand Creek.
