Available to hikers, and horseback riders,
South Zapata Creek Trail begins at the Zapata Falls picnic area and
follows South Zapata Creek to South Zapata Lake and is steep in several
places. Suitable campsites are limited along the trail.
To reach South Zapata Creek Trail from Highway 160, travel
north along CO 150 for 12 miles to the road to Zapata
Falls. The trailhead is located about 3 miles from CO 150. |
