Atlanta Single Hikers
Atlanta Single Hikers (ASH) is a group of individuals (18 years and older) of various backgrounds who share a common interest - a love of the outdoors in general and hiking in particular.
ASH was started in 1995 and welcomes anyone 18 or older and unmarried who wants to enjoy the thrill of the outdoors! Most of the people in the group range in age from the 30's to 50's. We have lots of day hikes, socials, backpacking and camping trips, dinners, canoeing, and other events.

We have at least one event every weekend and average two or three events a week (mostly on the weekend). There is no membership fee; we just pay for costs we incur, such as gas, parking fees, etc. Joining ASH is simple - just show up! To go on an activity, just contact the event leader listed in the weekly email or this site to RSVP, if requested. Usually, you can just show up and go. To get on the ASH email list, simply send a request to Charles Dean at Cdean@lsil.com

Carolina Berg Wanderers
The Berg Wanderers are a Charlotte-area club formed in the 70's by people wanting to make friends with others who enjoy outdoor activities. 'Berg Wanderer' means mountain wanderer in German, which is how the club was named by its founders. The Bergs are very active in many outdoor activities throughout the year. We are a very informal, friendly group of outdoors enthusiasts who meet monthly to plan outdoor trips to a variety places. Our membership is as varied as our outings, which include families, married couples and singles of all ages.
Outings regularly include hiking, backpacking, canoe/kayak paddling (flat & whitewater), biking (street & mountain), skiing (cross-country & downhill), camping, and whitewater rafting. Some of the unique trips include skydiving, rock hopping, orienteering, and moonlit trips. Any and all types of trips are possible. Sometimes there are even indoor activities such as going to a movie, or touring a local brewery.
And we might mention, that we are pretty good eaters. Some have said we do all these outdoor activities to keep off all the pounds we eat!

Go Active Club
The Go Active Club is an organization with a solid focus on improving the fitness and health of its members by hosting events designed to increase physical activity and raise health awareness.

Hotlanta Adventures
Hotlanta Adventures is a younger-adult, volunteer-based club that provides a chance to make new acquaintances and build friendships while experiencing the adventures of the outdoors and other similar shared interests. Some excursions include hiking, urban/mountain biking, whitewater rafting, camping, cabining, canoeing, kayaking, caving/spelunking, horseback riding, rappelling, rock climbing, fishing, geocaching, and other outdoor activities.

Piedmont Hiking and Outing Club
Founded in 1982, the  Piedmont Hiking and Outing Club is a volunteer organization with about 250 members. We do at least 3 hikes and 1 social outing each week. We also bike, canoe, camp, ski,  and take trips throughout the US. Members are from Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and other piedmont N.C. towns and communities.
