Located within the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the seasonal Abrams Creek
Campground, offers 16 tent and trailer (up to 12' long) campsites.
Restrooms with cold running water and flush toilets are also available,
but no shower facilities or electric hookups. Each campsite offers a
fire grate and picnic table. Operating on a first-come, first served
basis, Abrams Creek Campground is situated at an elevation of 1,125'.
To reach Abrams Creek Campground from US 129, about 1 mile east of
the junction with Western Foothills Park near Chilhowee Lake, turn onto
Happy Valley Road and travel 7 miles to the ranger station and
campground.
