Logan County Arkansas Hiking Trails

Bear Hollow Trail

 

Located within Mount Magazine State Park, the 2.8 mile Bear Hollow Trail follows the upper rim of Bear Hollow from the Benefield Picnic area to the northern trailhead at Highway 309, just below the horse camp. Rated moderate, Bear Hollow Trail offers great scenery as it travels past Inspiration Point, Bear Head Bluff and Shoal Creek.

A 7.5 mile loop is possible by starting at the picnic area or near the visitor center by connecting to four other trails.

If a shorter hike is desired, Bear Hollow Trail may be hiked in conjunction with a spur trail which reconnects with Benefield West Loop Trail, just west of the main trail junction.
